WELCOME! 

I am a writer, editor, and translator based in New York City. I hold a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Mathematics and German Studies from the University of Chicago.

On the academic side, I am the author of Work Flows: Stalinist Liquids in Russian Labor Culture and a creator of the Multimedia Sourcebook of the Russian 1990s. For more on my research, please visit my faculty page.

As a translator, I work from Russian (less often German) into English. My range includes literature and academic articles as well as commercial and technical texts.
